Catholic Charities Diocese of Arlington, Education Workforce Development (EWD) ministry will transition to a fully virtual learning format beginning this fall.
This strategic transition reflects our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible Adult Education instruction while expanding opportunities for more individuals to participate regardless of location or transportation barriers. Our experienced instructors will continue delivering the same impactful curriculum, personalized support, and practical workforce-focused instruction that students have come to expect, now through a flexible online environment.
The move to virtual learning also enables Catholic Charities to strengthen another important aspect of our mission: supporting parishes that wish to establish or expand their own English as a Second Language (ESL) ministries. By providing guidance, training, and resources to parish communities, we can help bring English language instruction closer to where families live, worship, and build community.
This evolution allows Catholic Charities to steward its resources effectively while broadening its impact throughout the Diocese of Arlington. We remain committed to accompanying immigrants and newcomers as they gain the language skills needed to thrive in the workplace, support their families, and participate fully in their communities.
We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers, parish partners, and students who continue to make this ministry a source of hope and opportunity for so many.
