Our Love Story
Rich
and Stephanie had mutual friends, who insisted that they would be a great
couple – or at least very good friends. Their first date in 2012 was at a Greek
restaurant near Steph’s house in Washington, DC. There was free-flowing
conversation and a lot of laughter. Rich walked Stephanie home. She leaned in
to kiss him… and six months later, he proposed!
In
those six months of dating, Rich and Stephanie spent a lot of time getting to
know each other – and found that they had a lot in common. Both came from
large, close-knit families with similar faiths and traditions. Both valued
their friendships and enjoyed their roles as godparents and as aunt/uncle to
many amazing children. Both wanted to start their own family soon, with lots of
children, pets, and a yard that Rich could mow – and that the kids could play
in.
Rich
loves that Stephanie is strong, fun, and out-going. He fell in love with
her ability to always laugh and make even every-day events into an adventure.
Steph loves that Rich is generous, fearless, and very romantic. He has a
wonderful way of proving – through big and small gestures – that Stephanie and
their children are the center of his life.

Our Adventures and Hobbies
Together, we’ve traveled the world and built an amazing life together. And our adventures continue!
Our Traditions and Values
Family and faith come first. We find ways to celebrate U.S., Catholic, and other holidays, as well as small victories (like learning to swim! Riding a bike! Losing a tooth! Making a goal in soccer!) It’s important to demonstrate grace and integrity in everyday life, and we live these values as we nurture our children to become kind, aware, and active individuals.
Our Friends and Family
We come from close-knit families and have a wonderful network of friends, some of whom have expanded their families through adoption. We are committed to keeping those bonds strong.
Adoption
We cannot imagine what you are going through at this time. The one thing we know for sure is that because you are considering adoption, God has blessed you with an incredible amount of strength and love.
