Over 250,000 people in the Arlington Diocese are food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal is coming from. As a Catholic response to the hunger and food insecurity in our Diocese, Catholic Charities conducts a diocesan-wide outreach to collect and distribute food where it is most needed through the St. Lucy Food Project.

Catholic Charities’ Christ House in old town Alexandria offers a warm evening meal every night of the year to homeless and low-income individuals.

Our food pantry provides perishable and non-perishable foods to those in need and offers USDA food to eligible clients.

Loaves and Fishes provides perishable and non-perishable foods to individuals and families. Loaves and Fishes also distributes USDA food to eligible clients.
