Thanks to a partnership with Catholic Charities USA and the Ford Motor Company, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington can now provide curbside assistance to homeless and poverty-stricken communities. The Mobile Response Center is a Ford F550 with a 14’ box that will deliver supplies directly to the needy.
The Mobile Response Center (MRC) visits economically-depleted communities in our Diocese every month. The MRC provides basic supplies such as hygiene products, diapers, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and more directly to residents. Our clients include young families and children as well as the elderly and disabled.
In addition to the basic needs of a household, our ministry provides special or seasonal items. These vary during the season and based on inventory. Please call 703-479-2975 ext. 1704 to discuss a special collection.
The MRC relies on the generosity and support of parishes, corporations and individuals. Please consider supporting the MRC by coordinating a donation drive.
The MRC does not distribute food. All food donations can be made to the
St. Lucy Food Project.
