Help Individuals and Families

Help support your neighbors in need by donating tangible goods to the Mobile Response Center, the Catholic Charities’ Clothing Closet, or Catholic Charities' Housing Programs.

What We Do

Catholic Charities relies on the goodwill and generosity of our neighbors. Your donations will help ensure our clients receive daily living support and enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.

Mobile Response Center

The Mobile Response Center delivers basic supplies such as hygiene products, diapers, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and more directly to struggling communities each month. The families we serve are desperately poor and your donations can them provide a clean and safe environment for their households.  Depending on the need and condition, seasonal items are also collected. Learn more about the items needed by the MRC! To schedule a Mobile Response Center drive for your Parish, contact James.McCaskey@ccda.net.

Catholic Charities Clothing Closet

To better serve the needs of our neighbors, our Thrift Store has transitioned to a Clothing Closet, providing essential free clothing to neighbors in need.

To make a Tuesday appointment for clothing, please contact Catholic Charities at 703-940-7505.

Donations can be dropped off on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and appointments are not necessary. (We are no longer able to accept non-clothing items.) Before dropping off donations, please contact Catholic Charities at 703-940-7505.

Transitional Housing: Christ House and St. Margaret of Cortona

At Christ House, we provide housing to single men exiting from homelessness. Christ House is a workforce development program aimed at helping our clients gain stable employment and move into permanent housing.  Please consider a donation to the shelter or to the men as they exit and set up their new homes!

At St. Margaret of Cortona, we provide housing to families exiting from homelessness. St. Margaret is a family stability and workforce development program. Our goals are to work with the parents to gain employment and with the children to participate positively in school and simply enjoy being a kid. Please consider a donation to our families as they move in to our program. The families keep their household belongings when they exit and set up their new homes!
