Parish Social Ministry

Parish Social Ministry supports and cultivates parish-based social ministry, social justice, and community development activities in partnership with parishes and other community organizations. Working with parish staff and lay leaders, the outreach program serves as a resource for ideas, information, and services to help needy persons.

Parish Liaison Network

As part of the Parish Social Ministry program, the purpose of the Parish Liaison Network (PLN) is to encourage communication, collaborative effort, and mutual support in fulfilling the Catholic Church's social mission in the Diocese of Arlington. Representatives are designated by their pastors. Semi-annual meetings, designed to facilitate collaborative efforts, are sponsored by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington. A monthly newsletter, PLN News, is also sent to all PLN representatives and pastors to keep them informed and to offer assistance in their ministry.
