Catholic Charities' Privacy Practices
- A child or adolescent struggling at school or with peers. The emergence of a "special need" (e.g., learning disability).
- The sense of drifting in adulthood, from the weight of a painful past, or the anxious prospect of being alone.
- Partners, in their effort to communicate, experiencing a lack of validation and safety in their relationship.
- The unexpected crisis that follows from the loss of a loved one.
These events can tax the reserves of faith and all the apparent resources to cope and problem solve.
Moreover, life difficulties are further complicated by the persistent problems that come from an addiction or a mental illness.
It is for these circumstances that the Family Services Department is available with services that are: warm, empathetic, fully professional, and clinically diverse.
Comprised of Licensed Clinical Social Workers and a consulting psychiatrist, as well as professional counselors, the Family Services Department brings together expertise in child behavioral problems, marital communication and enrichment, as well as a host of clinical topics such as mood disorders (depressions, anxiety) and various problems related to addiction.
The staff is experienced (with an average of 15 years post-graduate clinical experience) and, as a fully accredited mental health service, they extend a commitment to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
Sponsored by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington, this service is available to all.
