Strengthening Catholic Charities through Christian Stewardship

“Who is a Christian steward? One who receives God’s gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible and accountable manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord.”

Two: Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorships

Charity is serious business. We recognizes the value added to social service delivery with the involvement of business and foundation partners from our community.

Your company can maximize its philanthropic return on investment through giving that addresses stakeholder and shareholder interests. We will tailor our partnership to meet your needs and desires for involvement. You can focus your gift toward early childhood education, hunger, homelessness, housing, aging services or one of our many other programs. Involvement can include preparing and serving a meal at a homeless shelter or drop-in center, planning events for children or adults, or painting rooms at one of our sites. You might also consider becoming a Catholic Charities Ball sponsor in 2012.

Help make a difference. Partner with Catholic Charities to serve people in need in our community.

To discuss corporate or foundation giving opportunities, please contact Todd West, Director of Catholic Charities Development Programs, (703) 224-1470,

Led by volunteer parishioners, the Catholic Charities Ball is our largest fundraiser involving business and community leaders from across the diocese. Attended by nearly 800 people each year, the Catholic Charities Ball remains the best way to make your organization’s charitable presence known.

Three: Matched Giving and CFC Workplace Giving

Many companies promote workplace giving through or offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Many corporate programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Where will the needs of the Arlington diocese be in 10 or 20 years and will Catholic Charities be prepared to meet the needs of a growing area? We receive many inquiries as to how Catholic Charities can be remembered in wills and through planned giving. It is recommended that you determine what you wish to accomplish by working with a licensed estate planner.

Memorial & Honorary Gifts
Remember someone special in your life with a memorial or honorary gift by supporting the mission of Catholic Charities. Honorary Gifts are a special way to acknowledge people in your life and are a great way to mark special occasions: birthdays, graduations or
anniversaries.  They are also appropriate for Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day.

In Memory Gifts are a thoughtful way to memorialize someone special who has passed away.

When a Memorial or Honor gift is received by Catholic Charities, a letter is sent to the donor to acknowledge the gift, as well as to any person whom the donor indicates should receive an acknowledgement.  This may include the family of the person being honored (Note: the amount of the gift is not revealed. Recognition and naming opportunities are available.)

To make a gift in honor of or in remembrance of a friend or relative, please see below:
