2018 Opioid Conference

2018 Opioid Conference:
Seeking Hope & Healing In The Midst Of The Opioid Crisis

Saturday, September 29, 2018

The opioid crisis has severely impacted the Diocese of Arlington. In five years opioid overdose deaths have increased threefold within the diocese, and almost doubled statewide. How can we as a Diocese address this epidemic?

Parishioners, ministry leaders, clergy and the public are invited to consider our response at “Seeking Hope and Healing in the Opioid Crisis,” a free conference from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, the Feast of the Archangels, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Hwy, Alexandria.

Check in begins at 9:30 a.m., following the 9 a.m. parish Mass.

Bishop Burbidge will provide welcoming remarks and lead a prayer service at the conference’s conclusion.
